“Please at least be realistic”. I recommend taking your own advice. Birthing a child into a poverty stricken life (within which pain, suffering and possible death) is realistically harsher than aborting a child who’s brain and central nervous system is not developed enough to affect the child’s mental or emotional wellbeing at the time of termination.

cultureshift:

I have traveled this world and I know what real poverty, pain, and suffering looks like. If you live in the Western world, you have no idea what poverty and oppression are.

In most of the Western world, especially the United States, there is no shortage of programs such as welfare, subsidized housing, WIC, and food stamps to provide a safety net for our less fortunate. This doesn’t even include the incredible amount of charities, both church sponsored and otherwise, that exist.

Playing the poverty card as an excuse to kill a child in the United States is delusional at best. Trust me, I have seen real poverty and truly bleak futures. Even those did not warrant killing a child.
