What is your opinion on abortion of a fetus with a genetic disorder that means they have no chance (unless a genuine miracle happens) of surviving long after birth? Must a woman carry to term “in case of miracle”?
Please watch one of the most uplifting videos you will ever see. It’s not about abortion, but I believe it will illuminate my opinion on aborting a child with a genetic disorder. Even if a child has no chance of surviving for long, they can touch many hearts. Meet Walter Joshua Fretz to learn more. It’s also a fact that doctors are often wrong about the outcomes they expect.
There are hundreds of what if’s and hypotheticals. I work to change our culture to accept prenatal children as equals to neonatal children, people who are simply separated by time and a cervix. No one argues that we should kill newborn babies with genetic disorders, that would be murder in the first degree. Yet these same children were just as human seconds prior to their birth. Location, nor disability, should determine whether a child should live or die.
