Chief Executive Officer

anonymous:

How is it not oppressive to treat a woman like she has no worth other than gestating pregnancies? And how is it not oppressive to care more about the well-being of a fetus than the well-being of the woman who’s pregnant with that fetus? And how is it not oppressive to imply that it’s wrong for a woman to have her own goals and dreams, as though being a mother is all a woman should ever aspire to be? All of that is oppressive. So why not just accept that, instead of remaining in denial?

cultureshift:

I don’t recall stating that a woman has no worth other than to gestate pregnancies. I don’t know where you got the idea that woman can’t function in society if they are pregnant. Marissa Mayer, the CEO of Yahoo!, gave birth last year and was pregnant while running that major corporation. You don’t have to kill your child to participate in society. You don’t have to kill your child to realize your goals and dreams. You never have to kill your child.
