If I believed in God and heaven, my “child” would be in heaven with God right now. That’s something revered as wonderful and what Christians work so hard to strive for: life in His kingdom.

If God is real, He gave us free will. He has a plan for all of us, and for me, His plan was for me to let my baby go.

You have truly broken my heart. Why would you choose to end your child’s life instead of giving him or her up to the father who you stated would have taken the child? Does the father not count? Where is the equality in this equation?

Your blog also points out the incredible lie of abortion clinics. They are there to make money, obviously not to provide meaningful counseling that would help women make informed decisions. You said you had no evidence outside of ‘pro-life propaganda’ of whether or not your child had a beating heart, lungs, or brain. Your son or daughter’s heart beat began at the 22nd day following fertilization. This is why states are beginning to require that mother’s view and listen to ultrasounds prior to allowing abortions.

“They [the women] are never allowed to look at the ultrasound because we knew that if they so much as heard the heartbeat, they wouldn’t want to have an abortion.” — Dr. Randall, Former Abortionist

A simple web search could have provided the additional details you were uncertain about…

The most dramatic development this week: reflexes. Your baby’s fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won’t be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder.

Meanwhile, nerve cells are multiplying rapidly, and in your baby’s brain, synapses are forming furiously. His face looks unquestionably human: His eyes have moved from the sides to the front of his head, and his ears are right where they should be. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over 2 inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce. See what your baby looks like this week.

You believed that at the time you aborted your baby that he or she wasn’t considered a human, yet you talk about his or her soul and consciousness. At what point would he or she magically have turned into a human? There are only two clear answers — conception or birth. Some claim viability, but then this football gets kicked back and forth about what defines viable. Your ‘pro-life propagandist’ knows life begins at conception, which the scientific community agrees with. That’s the point where two sets of DNA come together, and if uninterrupted, will continue to live until his or her natural death several decades worth of life later. Your ‘pro-choice propagandist’ will tell you a child is not human until birth, which the scientific community does not agree with. Nor do very many other intelligent people.

I really feel that the system let you down, that you obviously didn’t have enough information to make an informed decision. The pro-choice community is against pregnancy resource centers because they give you ‘misinformation’. However, they feel we can trust a for-profit abortion mill to ensure you hear all of your options.

I am so sad for you and your child and I hope someday you will have a change of heart about when a baby ‘becomes a human’.

Did you only follow me to pick apart a ramble of mine about a personal choice that saved myself? Really? Your movement hits so low to demean women for helping themselves, and it literally disgusts me. If I could, I’d spit on your face and hope you choke on it. But hey, you can’t spit my saliva out because there’s LIVING bacteria in there, and you don’t want to kill it, right? Fuck off.

For the record, brokeinbosten and I exchanged private messages last night and we each realized that the other is a better person than maybe we originally thought. She is a beautiful young spirit with a lot of potential and clearly very intelligent.

Although we still disagree on the ‘need’ for abortion, it should be clear that if a mother’s life is in grave physical danger, then a choice must be made between the mother and the child and only the mother can make the choice to assume that risk. But to be clear, losing a baby while saving the mother’s life is not an elective abortion, but a tragic consequence of the actions taken to save her life.

Unfortunately, many women obtain abortions by using mental or emotional issues that can be addressed by caring professionals. Abortion mills are more than happy to oblige because it is in their best financial interest to commit as many abortions as possible. This opens the conflict between corporate greed and human life and in most cases, greed will win.

I wish brokeinbosten only the best as she moves forward with her life and I hope that someday, like Jane Roe, she has a change of heart and begins to respect the beauty of human life and passes on these values to any future children she may bring into this world.
